Purpose/Mission of role:
The Product Development/Category Management Specialist will be responsible for driving the development and management of products within specific categories. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, develop product strategies, and execute plans to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, creative, and possesses strong project management skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, consumer prefer
2) Develop product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives, including product positioning, pricing, and distribution channels.
3) Collaborate with product development, design, and procurement teams to conceptualize and create new products or improve existing ones.
4) Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to launch and post-launch analysis.
5) Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market plans and promotional strategies for new and existing products.
6) Monitor sales performance, market trends, and consumer feedback to make data-driven decisions and optimize product assortment.
7) Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
8) Provide regular updates and reports to management on product performance, market insights, and competitive analysis
9) Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to assigned product categories.
Experience Required
Min 5-12 years of experience in the Cosmetics / Beauty/ Personal Care category/FMCG
